About the role
UT Urgent Care Clinic has provided medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care is seeking experienced, well qualified Medical Assistants for our Halls location, who must be a team player and comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families during visit, by demonstrating sensitivity to patients’ comfort and privacy.
- Accurately record patient history, complete patient vitals, retrieve basic condition of patient and report to appropriate practitioner.
- Assist provider with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, such as:
- Apply splints and wound dressings
- Collect and record various laboratory tests
- Administer oral and injectable medication
Position Highlights
- Flexible Schedule: 36-hour work week scheduled between 3 shifts per week, with option for overtime pay (1.5 x hour)
- Clinic Hours: 12-hour weekday shift, 9AM–9PM / 9-hour weekend shift, 9AM–6PM

Salary
$17.00/hr – $22.00/hr; shift differential up to $2.00 per hour; dependent on experience

- Education Requirement:
- GED or High School Diploma
- Completion of Medical Assistant program, registered/certified (RMA/CMA) or 2+ years’ experience working in medical office
