This position is located at the Mountain View Clinic - Urology in Las Vegas, NV, with full-time office hours (0800-1700 Monday-Friday). 4 and 5 day schedule options are available.
About the Role
A Medical Assistant in this ambulatory clinic setting provides care to patients with acute and chronic needs, communicating clearly through telephone and in-person interactions. Urology experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Clinician, assist the provider in gathering information relevant to the patient’s visit and condition.
- Communicate clearly with patients through various modalities, including telephone and in-person interactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and follow-through in delivering needed care.
- Perform basic Medical Assisting skills and provide care in an ambulatory setting.
Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers (must be obtained prior to the start date).
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program, one year of Medical Assistant experience, or a current RN/LPN license.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills, including word processing and data entry.
- Professional manner with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers to deliver high levels of customer/patient satisfaction.
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current national MA certification (e.g., RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or CMA).
- Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
- Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment.
- Frequent verbal communication with providers, patients, and visitors, including understanding spoken information, alarms, and needs, especially during emergencies.
- Manual dexterity for complex and delicate equipment, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation.
- Lifting and utilizing full range of movement to transfer patients, including bending, retrieving, lifting, and carrying supplies and equipment (up to heavy items).
- Walking and assisting with transporting/ambulating patients, pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment (including heavy items), and navigating crowded/busy rooms.
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
- For roles requiring driving: ability to drive a vehicle, including sitting, seeing, and reading signs and traffic signals.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $20.07 - $28.59, dependent upon experience.
