Medical Assistant - Urology

Role: Medical Assistant Responsibilities: Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks in an ambulatory setting under supervision. Participate as part of the healthcare team, following care plans, policies, and principles of relationship-based care. Execute tasks within legal scope for unlicensed health personnel, supporting physicians and RNs in meeting patient needs. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, with completion of a Medical Assistant program or active certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA). Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and experience with electronic medical records. Flexibility to work daytime hours and adapt to unpredictable situations is essential. Licensing: Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross. Some positions may not require current BLS based on work location. Details: Nonexempt, full-time role with a schedule of 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, totaling 72 hours per pay period. Responsibilities include potential floating to other practices or sites as needed. No weekend or international assignments. Compensation ranges from $21.55 to $30.22 per hour, with benefits eligibility.
