Medical Assistant- Urgent Care

About the Role

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team as delegated by a physician. Specific duties and responsibilities will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must hold an American Heart Association Basic Life Support card.
• Visual color acuity screening may be required depending on the role in specific units.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program.
• Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
