Medical Assistant - Urgent Care

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care and perform routine specialized medical procedures following clinical protocols.
• Support medical and nursing staff during examinations and treatments.
• Room patients, measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Conduct patient interviews and gather medical history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments, explaining procedures as needed.
• Assist with physician-ordered procedures, examinations, treatments, and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare treatment rooms.
• Collect samples like blood, urine, and sputum, and perform routine lab tests.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Program diploma, or at least 1 year of medical assisting experience, military medic training, EMT-P training, or equivalent combined education and experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
