About the role
This comprehensive, earn-while-you-learn program is designed for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to become nationally certified as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
Responsibilities
- Learn foundational medical assisting concepts in the classroom.
- Apply those skills in a clinical setting during the first 14 weeks.
- Continue with approximately 24 weeks of full-time clinical training under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals.
- Receive instruction in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, infection prevention, patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, medical records, insurance and front-office procedures, ethics, and other essential medical assisting skills.
- Transition into a Medical Assistant position within Gifford upon successful completion of the program and achievement of CCMA certification.
- Be committed to building a long-term career with Gifford and remain employed for at least two years following the program.
Requirements
- Pass the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification exam.
- Commitment to a long-term career with Gifford.
- Employment with Gifford for at least two years after program completion.

Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
