Medical Assistant / TMS Technician

About the role

Hightop Health is seeking a driven individual passionate about mental health to join our team as a Medical Assistant / Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Technician. We are dedicated to hiring compassionate, ethical employees who are committed to providing high-quality services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial patient assessments to determine suitability for TMS therapy
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines
  • Perform TMS therapy sessions according to established protocols and safety standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Document patient responses and treatment outcomes accurately and comprehensively
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and nurse practitioners to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families about TMS therapy and answer any questions or concerns they may have

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant - Required
  • Certification or training in TMS administration preferred but willing to train the right candidate
  • EHR (Athena) experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably with individuals experiencing mental health disorders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and licensure requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Current State of Georgia Medical Assistant Certification
