Medical Assistant - Temporary

A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant with Salud

As a Medical Assistant, your genuine spirit of caring welcomes patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA. You will determine the nature of the patient’s visit and obtain vitals. Your thorough and concise chart documentation will provide clear necessary communication. You will maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with people from all walks of life and meet them in their place of need
• Current Medical Assistant Certificate (required)
• Medical Assistants not certified/registered upon hire must complete certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire; if unsuccessful, an additional 3 months is allowed to retake the test. All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
• Medical Assistants without formal training must have current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, minimum 6 months in length (preferred)
• Previous healthcare experience (preferred but not required)
• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)

This position requires a Medical Assistant (MA) Certification. A CNA certification is not equivalent and cannot be accepted for this position.

Pay

$21 to $28.50 per hour

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm

Temp Assignment: Date of hire to 11/2/26
