About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients, performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.

This is a temporary position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Pay

Starting compensation range is $22.00–$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
  • Assist providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples, and other clinical duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms.
  • Provide patient education and answer patient questions.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
  • Assist with medical procedures as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred.
