Medical Assistant Supervisor - Full Time

About the Role

The Medical Assistant Supervisor in the OBGYN department oversees daily clinical support activities, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care. They provide clinical supervision, training, and performance evaluations for medical assistants, resolve operational issues independently, manage inventory and supplies, and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to optimize workflows. The supervisor also acts as management-on-site when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of medical assistants to maintain efficient patient care.
• Offer clinical guidance, training, and performance evaluations to team members.
• Resolve operational and clinical issues independently, involving leadership when necessary.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and assist with specialty pharmacy procedures like IUD billing.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient care processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, or similar clinical credential (LPN, RN, EMT).
• At least 3 years of medical assisting experience, with 1+ year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in women’s health.
• Proficiency with EHR systems.
• Healthcare management training.
