Medical Assistant Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with colleagues up, down, and across the organization
• Assists in professional development of all Certified Medical Assistant staff; designs and executes training programs as needed
• Supervises assigned CMA’s in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership practices
• Provides clinical oversight of the services provided by the Certified Medical Assistants across the organization through direct observation and formal competency assessment, in conjunction with the Nurse Manager
• Maintains task boxes, inboxes, scanning needs, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks, in conjunction with Senior Certified Medical Assistants; deploys support and resources where needed to stay current with these tasks
• Affirms oversight of the environment of care, ensuring adherence to CHC infection control and safety policies and procedures; monitors employee performance in the same
• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Certified Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school with current national certification from an approved certifying body
• 2+ years of medical assistant experience preferred
• 1+ Supervisory experience required
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy
• BLS certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian Creole) preferred

Pay

Total compensation range for this position is USD $26.00 to USD $34.00.
