Medical Assistant - Street Medicine

About the role

This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Mobile Medical team — a program that brings healthcare directly to individuals experiencing homelessness and living in unsheltered environments. This is a unique opportunity for an MA who is passionate about health equity, social justice, and meeting people where they are.

Responsibilities

• Support a mobile care team in delivering essential medical services in the field — on sidewalks, in encampments, and in other non-traditional settings.
• Assist with vital signs and clinical documentation.
• Build trust with patients facing complex barriers to care.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid unrestricted NM driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and Medical Assistant Program Graduate Certificate.
• If applicable; current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• BLS certification.

Pay

Minimum $38,948 - Midpoint $47,819*

Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.
