Medical Assistant - Specialty Care (ongoing)
About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, review/update medications and allergies, assist with clinic procedures, and assist nursing staff with treatments for patients.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following:
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Licensure as an LPN
- Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program
- Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee
- Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated
- One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required
- Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required

Pay
Competitive compensation package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
Schedule
Scheduled shifts are typically Monday through Friday, with 8 hours shifts between the hours of 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. No weekends required.
