Medical Assistant Specialist Float - Full Time

Essential Functions

• Sums and prepares patients for office visits.
• Aids physicians with medical office procedures.
• Administers medication, including injections, and documents as required by specialty.
• Maintains integrity of the office.
• Maintains current certification in CPR.
• Reads and references new policies and procedures and Nursing Update newsletters.
• Acts as an active member of the care team and may perform additional duties related to care coordination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
