Responsibilities
- Screens patients and obtains pertinent information
- Assists physician or advanced practitioner during patient visits in accordance with age-specific needs
- Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed
- Maintains the exam rooms and work environment
- Provides support to the clinic as needed
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.
Experience
- Prefer at least one year of experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room, and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care
- Experience in office clerical activities desirable
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification/Registration
CMA or RMA preferred.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 07:45 AM to 04:45 PM.
