About the role

The Medical Assistant 2 will support physicians and care teams while serving as a trusted, bilingual point of contact for patients. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for appointments
• Obtain and record vital signs
• Discuss symptoms and gather patient information
• Enter information into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Administer injections as permitted by certification
• Perform diagnostic testing
• Collect specimens and laboratory samples
• Perform blood draws and phlebotomy procedures
• Sterilize and clean medical equipment
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a back-office/direct patient care setting
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
• Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA/RMA)
• Current CPR Certification
• Less than 2 years of professional leadership experience
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
• Basic computer skills
