About the role

Assists in patient care throughout nursing areas, safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatches services and documents services appropriately. Observes patients requiring constant monitoring to ensure their safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or a Registered Medical Assistant
  • 1-2 years in general or healthcare office experience preferred
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services department or acute care hospital experience preferred
  • BLS certification

Qualifications

  • Experienced caregiver
  • Practical office training
