Responsibilities

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic
• Work alongside the provider to ensure patient care and clinic operations
• Room and prepare patients according to clinic-specific checklists or procedures
• Measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care as needed
• Complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc.
• Assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care

Requirements

• CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT: High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred; credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization; BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained
• NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT: High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred; one year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting; Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare; BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained

Additional Information

• Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
• MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
