20 Hours Weekly - Monday - Friday on Days from 6:45AM - 6PM (May vary)
Job Description
- Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic
- Work alongside the provider to ensure patient care and clinic smoothness
- Room and prepare patients according to clinic specific checklists or procedures
- Measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic
- Complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc.
- Perform a variety of procedures with patients following established protocols and processes including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection
- Assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary
Qualifications
- CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization
- BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained
- Experienced in Phlebotomy is highly preferred
- NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
- One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support role
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare
- BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained
Additional Information
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
