About the role

Full-time Medical Assistant position with BJC Medical Group in Godfrey, Illinois. BJC Medical Group is the multi-specialty physician organization of BJC HealthCare and includes over 600 doctors and advanced practice providers affiliated with top‑ranked hospitals. Family Physicians of Godfrey is a family practice located in Godfrey, Illinois. The Medical Assistant provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider, performing select duties to promote patient health and delivering care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point‑of‑care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: No experience required
• Supervisor Experience: No experience required
• Licenses & Certifications: Certification/registration in area of expertise
• Preferred: Less than 2 years of experience
• Preferred Licenses & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Schedule

40‑Hours per week Day Shift; Benefit Eligible; NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS
