What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Navigate and utilize the proprietary electronic medical record system to evaluate and process patient health information
• Conduct reviews of examination documentation and collaborate with Service Members and Veterans via phone interviews
• Ensure examination documentation complies with regulatory and contractual requirements
• Identify and evaluate behavioral health issues and initiate necessary interventions
• Interface with providers, Veterans, and Service Members to retrieve required Disability Benefits Questionnaire information

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Vocational or Technical Training/Education in a Medical-related field such as Medical Assistant, LPN, or equivalent experience
• Ability to type 40 words per minute
• Knowledge of healthcare documentation, including medical and psychological terminology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong telephone etiquette
• Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record system
