Medical Assistant Queens NY

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain sterilization processes for all equipment being used while adhering to company policies and protocols
• Conduct patient triage to assess and prioritize medical needs
• Gather relevant information to assist healthcare providers in delivering optimal care
• Support healthcare providers during in-house procedures such as EKG and PFT
• Ensure a sterile and organized environment for medical examinations
• Guide patients through the process of Primary Care Physician (PCP) conversions
• Provide information, answer queries, and facilitate a smooth transition
• Perform sterilization and autoclaving of medical instruments and equipment
• Track inventory levels of medical supplies
• Place orders and maintain sufficient stock to support daily operations
• Document the usage of medical items and supplies accurately
• Maintain detailed and organized records for reference
• Update logbooks regularly to reflect accurate information on supplies, procedures, and equipment usage
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant or Associate degree in Medical Assistant
• CPR Certification (Urgent Care)
• Internship experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Familiarity with eCW is preferred
