About the role
We are seeking a Medical Assisting experience professional to join our Mobile Campus. The successful candidate will assist the Campus President in leading the Campus's medical assisting program, manage department personnel, and student relations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops the curriculum for his or her department.
- Aids in the recruitment, orientation, and training of faculty.
- Provides suggestions and recommendations regarding hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, discipline, or any other change of status for employees under his or her direct supervision to the Campus President.
- Assists in organizing student orientations and graduation ceremonies.
- Assists in organizing Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings and attends such meetings.
- Maintains student attendance and attrition rates.
- Monitors and controls attrition for his or her department.
- Researches and implements technological changes in his or her field.
- Completes CPR training or the relevant refresher course, if required.
- Supervises, coordinates, and directs the work of all employees in his or her academic program.
- Supports the Campus President in implementing academic program objectives and achieving positive outcomes.
- Taught courses as required.
- Travels as required.
Education/Experience Needed
- An associate degree or higher in health sciences.
- A minimum of four (4) years of medical assisting experience or four (4) years’ experience in providing patient care while supervising medical assistants.
- Professional licensure or certification through a NCCA accredited agency.
- Teaching experience preferred.
