Medical Assistant PRN

Deliverables/Principal Results

• Deliver phone calls and complete documentation and filing as needed to support medical staff at the facility.
• Complete medical records accurately and efficiently.
• Aid with admissions and the consent process for clients, providing ongoing support during medical appointments.
• Obtain vital signs and urine screens, documenting outcomes appropriately for medical team review.
• Complete lab requisitions upon admission and as needed, monitoring outcomes and reviewing with the medical team as necessary.
• Create and distribute client packets efficiently.
• Support prior authorization and medication ordering processes as needed.
• Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed by the medical team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a drug and alcohol and/or residential setting preferred.
• Active certification as a Certified Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants in lieu of high school diploma/GED.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant through employment or a successful internship preferred.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.
