Responsibilities
- Greet patients, obtain medical histories, and verify patient information.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing required testing.
- Assist during examinations and treatment.
- Perform ancillary testing and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director (e.g., PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws).
- Conduct DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Cross-train to perform Front Office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check-in/out, and communicating wait times.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, relevant training, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of employment.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office environment.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) preferred but not required.
- Conversational fluency in both English and Spanish preferred.
- Ongoing discretion and secure management of confidential and sensitive information.
Pay
This position is eligible for a base compensation rate of $23.00 to $27.03 hourly, depending on job-related factors such as experience, geographic location, and seniority.
