Job Summary
Assist APRN and physician by preparing patients for examinations. Assist with patient care including procedures. Must be able to accurately transcribe into patient’s electronic medical record. Performs clerical duties and operates office equipment, computer.
Responsibilities

- Assist in scheduling and obtaining precertification for surgeries
- May perform phlebotomy with no waived testing
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification preferred
- One-year experience in clinical area preferred
- Current CPR certification
- General office skills and medical terminology preferred
Working Conditions
- Works primarily in the medical office setting
- Requires moderate to frequent lifting (excess of 50 lbs.), bending, and assisting in same, using correct techniques
- Moderate to frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases
- Extensive walking during shift

JOB LOCATION : Internal Medicine Park Ave DEPARTMENT: INT MED PARK AVE SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, Mon. - Thurs. 8a.m. to 5p.m. Fri. 8a.m. - 12p.m.
