About the role

The Gore Medical Group is a primary care clinic providing care for adolescents to geriatrics. Services include preventative exams, chronic conditions management, simple office procedures, sports physicals, sick visits, and women's health.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Take patient histories, vital signs, and assist with patient inquiries.
• Administer medications and perform basic lab tests as directed.
• Perform basic patient care tasks, including taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a licensed provider.
• Conduct routine diagnostic tests, including urine tests and simple swabs (e.g., flu and COVID-19).
• Contact patients for follow-ups, test results, appointment reminders, and other care coordination needs.
• Absorb and communicate with insurance providers regarding prior authorization requests.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Completion of a medical assistant program with at least 1-2 years of primary care experience.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
