Medical Assistant – PHYSICIAN SERVICES

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct nursing care to patients under the direction of the Provider
• Calls in prescriptions refills per Provider directive
• Provides timely communication & follow up on all clinical calls & questions as instructed by Provider
• Provides prompt communication to Provider regarding labs, diagnostic testing results and documents
• Acts as a liaison between the front desk, patient and physician
• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and the care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served

REGISTRAR DUTIES

• Responsible for timely and accurate registering of patients
• Interviews patient for all pertinent account information
• Verifies insurance coverage

QUALIFICATIONS

• MA certification required; RMA preferred
• 2 Years Of Prior MA Experience Preferred
• Current BLS (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive demeanor & personality
