Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist - Venice-North Port

About the Role

MaxHealth in Venice/North Port is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. The candidate for this role will perform a wide range of medical office tasks in front/back office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival
• Prepare patients to see the physician by preparing examination and procedure rooms
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients
• Manage necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results
• Maintain a calming presence for patients

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Strong background in Phlebotomy (will be doing mainly phlebotomy duties)
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
• Computer proficient
• Previous experience with Medical Records

Pay

Starting Salary $20.00 an hour. Competitive wage, depending on experience.
