Emp Status: Per Diem Part time
Compensation Range: The base pay scale for this position is $32.00 - $32.00. The salary of the finalist will be determined based on scope of role, experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and Fair Market Value evaluation. This role is also eligible for additional benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, Physical Therapy).
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for examinations, review patient statuses, and assist in obtaining patient data.
  • Obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients.
  • Support the Pre-Surgical Screening program by assisting nurses and obtaining vital signs, lab specimens (venipuncture), and EKGs.
  • Prepare specimens for the lab and ensure hand-off to courier.
  • Foster efficient patient throughput, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain an organized professional environment.
  • Assist physicians in treatments and procedures, ensuring orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cast removal, suture and staple removal, and application of off-the-shelf braces.
  • Maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when addressing patients, visitors, co-workers, and other customers.
  • Participate in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Certified Medical Assistant.
  • BLS Certification.
