Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

Kaua'i Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their dedicated team providing high-quality healthcare to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a background in a medical assistant program or equivalent experience, certification from a recognized organization, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care activities for clients of all ages
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed
• Provide support during patient examinations and procedures
• Handle correspondence and scheduling appointments
• Ensure patient records are accurate and up-to-date
• Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent experience
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a recognized organization
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card
• Able to complete departmental competency assessment within the orientation period

Qualifications

• One (1) year back office medical assistant experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
