About the role

HDVCH Congenital Heart Center is a large medical and surgical practice located at 25 Michigan, Suite 4200 NE, Grand Rapids. The practice specializes in congenital heart disease, serving patients from unborn babies to end of life. Clinical team members work closely with providers, performing tasks such as chart preparation, EKGs, and cardiac monitor placements.

Responsibilities

  • Work in pods with other MA’s or ACT’s to facilitate smooth workflow for providers’ tight schedules.
  • Perform daily rotations with 2-3 providers, covering various aspects of patient care.
  • Support providers by performing tasks such as chart preparation, EKGs, and cardiac monitor placements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days.
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) certification required within 120 days.

Pay

$3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only.

Schedule

Day shift, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
