Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license is needed for travel to the clinics.
• High school diploma or GED is required and must be produced at time of hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within the first 30 days).

Screenings

All offers of employment are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screening. As a condition of employment, FCS requires all new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption. FCS is a drug-free workplace, and all new hires will be subject to drug and nicotine testing. Medical marijuana cards are not recognized.
