Medical Assistant Paid Training Opportunity

Description

Exciting opportunity to learn new skills and be paid at the same time. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. is offering a full-time, in person, paid Medical Assistant training program which includes both classroom and clinical training thanks to a workforce pipeline fund. Classes offered virtually through CareerStep will prepare a learner to take the National Healthcareer Association’s CMAA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) exam to gain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients
  • Obtaining and recording patient vitals
  • Performing EKGs
  • Assisting providers in procedures and exams

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must submit a resume that includes a brief statement explaining why you are interested in becoming a medical assistant
  • Provide 3 references and possess a clear background free of criminal offenses

Mon-Fri 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Salary Description

$18 an hour
