About the Role
A Certified Medical Assistant for the Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Our Certified Medical Assistants are an integral part of our offices and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients and collecting vitals
- Performing pulmonary function tests
- Administering injections
- Conducting EKGs and breathing treatments
- Performing lab testing
- Changing dressings and cleaning wounds
- Conducting hearing and vision tests
- Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program
- Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility preferred
- Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians
- Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards
- CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA law
Schedule
Full-time, day shift, 72 hours per pay period.
