Medical Assistant or Limited License X-Ray Tech
About the Role
Baptist Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in Collierville, TN. The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or x-ray room.
- Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process.
- Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations.
- Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
- Assists front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary.
- Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
- Assists with patient transfers.
- Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
- Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit.
Schedule
Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred.
