Medical Assistant - Oncology

About the role

The Medical Assistant position at Straub Benioff Medical Center is part of the Oncology department. Located at the Straub Benioeff Medical Center - King Street Clinic, this role offers a full-time schedule of 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care activities
• Provide compassionate health services to patients and their families
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
• Assist in administrative tasks related to patient care

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), ABR-OE from AAMA, RMA from AMT, NCMA from NCCT, RMA from ARMA, NRCMA from NAHP, CMAC from AMCA, CCMA from NHA, or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from NAHP
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card
• Ability to complete departmental competency assessment by the end of the orientation period

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High school or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience, current BLS CPR Card
