Medical Assistant (On-Call) - Integrated Care Center Clinic

Duties

• Assist clinicians in the examination process.
• Perform office tests including vision screening, spirometry, EKG, rapid strep, UA and urine pregnancy tests.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, TB tests, breathing treatments.
• Prepare intake, including vital signs, list chief complaints, allergies, immunization histories and complete chart forms, as appropriate to patient type.
• Place patients in rooms and prepare them for examination.
• Clean, prepare and stock examination rooms.
• Participate in integrated team-based care by receiving and returning telephone calls from patients and pharmacies.
• Auxiliary in scheduling patient appointments.
• Maintain quality assurance of basic clinic functions.
• Oversight of patient flow and ensuring smooth, efficient patient flow throughout the clinic experience via patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience from a certified Medical Assistant program.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills with certification desired.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Must complete background check and Livescan.
• Covid-19 vaccine and booster is required for this position.
