Medical Assistant/Office Manager PT
Part-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

About the Role
As a member of the Health Center staff in the Student Life division of Southern Nazarene University, the Health Center Office Manager coordinates and operates the front desk, handles patient billing, and provides administrative support for the Health Center team. This role maintains a welcoming atmosphere for patients in alignment with the mission and goals of Southern Nazarene University. A collaborative working relationship with the University Business Office, Campus Security, Athletics, Spiritual Life, Student Life, Admissions, Disability Services, and other university departments and faculty is essential to ensure positive service for patients.
Responsibilities
- Type, file, and maintain confidential records.
- Assist the nurse with patient information, including vital signs, changes in medical history, and reason for current visit.
- Support the RN with patient information (vital signs, medical history updates, and visit reasons) and assist in diagnostic testing and pharmacy upkeep.
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
- Work independently and operate office equipment.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience working well with college-age students and professionals.
- Typing and spelling competency.

Preferred Qualifications
- Some college coursework.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at minimum.
- Experience in higher education.
Supervision
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, though other staff members in the unit may provide work direction. May coordinate work assignments for student employees.
