Medical Assistant (Not Certified)

About the role

Albany ENT & Allergy is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team and assist our physicians with daily tasks, including a variety of minor procedures and daily interaction with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assign and assist with patient preparation and rooming
• Obtain medication prior authorizations
• Notify patients of normal test results
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms
• Clean and sterilize equipment as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
• Completed an accredited formal Medical Assisting program (preferred)
• Proficient computer skills, including ability to master clinic’s practice management software
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
• Ability to handle a busy office with interruptions, calls, and walk-ins
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, dependent upon the individual’s skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
