Medical Assistant-Neurology Full Time Days

Job Description

This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week with the schedule being Monday through Friday, 9a-5:30p. Primary locations are Lake Forest and Lake Bluff campuses with occasional coverage at Grayslake and Glenview sites.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtains and documents vital signs, allergies, smoking history, and pharmacy information.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms, sets up equipment, and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Assists with medical and surgical procedures, including ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA waived testing.
• Stocks exam rooms and monitors equipment according to clinic guidelines.
• Communicates with patients and the patient care team, prioritizes tasks, and maintains patient flow.
• Completes delegated procedures and maintains a professional, friendly demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification in one of the following: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills.
