Responsibilities
- Takes vitals and reviews patient history
- Prepares and cleans room for patient and prepares patient for the physician encounter
- Performs various office-based testing and treatments under the supervision of clinicians
- Collaborates with other clinical personnel to manage patient care, including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling
- Schedules patients for clinic, hospital, and other medical treatments and tests
- Resolves patient concerns promptly
- At least 1 - 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft (Word and Excel), and EMR (Athena) experience a plus

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited school, or passage of the Medical Assistant examination
