About the role

This is a full-time Medical Assistant position requiring travel between multiple sites. Regular travel between McKinney and Plano is required, with additional travel to Greenville (twice a month) and occasional coverage in Garland. The schedule is Monday through Friday, days, with no nights, on-call shifts, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, and sterilization
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals

Requirements

  • One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

One of the following certification/license pathways is required:

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (acceptable certifications: RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or ABR-OE credentials)
  • Recent graduates (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain certification within 60 days of employment
  • Candidates with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess certification must obtain it within one year of hire date
