Medical Assistant - Mohs/Surgical

Responsibilities

• Aid in Mohs surgery procedures and other dermatological surgical tasks
• Anticipate and communicate surgeon's needs to avoid delays
• Cut, stain, and prepare tissue samples for review
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper disposal of instruments
• Draw up injections under physician supervision
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
• Review patient medical history and document current conditions
• Perform medication reviews and update electronic medical records
• Stock and clean examination rooms

Requirements

• High school degree required
• Previous patient care experience
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Surgical Assistant or Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Two years of experience in clinical or surgical assisting
