Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care activities
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed
• Participate in ongoing professional development

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), ABR-OE from AAMA, RMA from AMT, NCMA from NAHP, CMAC from AMCA, CCMA from NHA, or NRCMA from NAHP
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card
• Ability to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and attentive
• Strong communications and patient care skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality health care

Skills

• Knowledge of CPT and/or ICD-10 coding
• Experience with electronic medical records
