What You’ll Be Doing
- Auxiliary support to clinicians in gathering medical histories and documentation.
- Guiding patients through the completion of intake paperwork and consent forms.
- Collaborating with external healthcare providers, mental health professionals, insurance companies, and pharmacies to coordinate patient care.
- Managing face-to-face and telehealth schedules for all clinicians across multiple satellite clinics using the electronic record-keeping system.
- Greeting visitors warmly, verifying insurance and demographic information, collecting co-pays/balances, and assisting patients with arranging transportation.
- Responding to incoming phone calls, emails, and faxes; processing medical records requests efficiently; scanning, filing, and performing other clerical tasks.
- Ordering office and medical supplies, managing inventories, opening/closing the clinic, and ensuring the waiting room and common areas remain tidy and welcoming.
- Participating in department meetings, clinical supervision, and assigned professional development trainings.
What You’ll Need
- A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or a Bachelor’s degree.
- One to two years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinic or healthcare setting.
- Computer proficiency required; database and Electronic Health Record (EHR) system experience is highly preferred.
- A pleasant, welcoming demeanor with a passion for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
