Responsibilities
- Interviews patient and documents patient’s response in the medical record according to standard.
- Administers and documents prescribed medications (oral, intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous, inhaled, drops) and treatments in accordance with organizational standards.
- Observes, records, and reports patient’s response to medications and treatments to provider(s).
- Documentation and communication of medication refills.
- Affords assistance to provider with examinations and procedures, including preparing sterile field and properly maintaining equipment before and after procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma is required. If hired after 06/01/2021 required to complete a Medical Assistant training program.
- CMA - Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Six months physician’s office or healthcare setting is preferred.
