Medical Assistant - Manchester

About the role

First Choice Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team in Manchester and other sites as needed. This position involves delivering direct care services, patient engagement, and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform a full range of tasks in delivering patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Act as a member of the care team, including preparing patients for appointments, collecting and recording clinical information, responding to patient calls, and documenting interactions.
• Manage patients according to approved protocols and scheduling guidelines.
• Document all patient interactions and clinical activities accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.
• Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits on behalf of patients, assist with resource identification, and ensure smooth office operations.
• Maintain a task list, follow up on overdue orders, monitor critical referrals, and adhere to patient safety standards and infection control guidelines.
• Aid the care team to ensure excellent service through teamwork.

Requirements

• Experience with an electronic health record.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• One to two years of MA/CNA experience.
• BLS Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $17.50 - $22/hour, based on experience and certifications.

Schedule

Primarily a Monday through Friday schedule working 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. One late night until 6 pm, but leaving on Friday at 3 pm.
