About the role
Supports exceptional physicians in a high-energy, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Conducts vitals, room setup, allergy/medical reconciliation, screenings, and patient history and health maintenance.
- Performs point of care testing, including quality control and documentation.
- Aids providers with in-house Urology procedures, as needed.
- Provides administrative support such as scheduling, chart preparation, referrals, check-in/check-out, prior authorizations, and transportation facilitation.
- Carries out high-level disinfection duties, requiring proficiency.
Requirements
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic certification.
- Certified BLS Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 3 months of hire date.
- One year of direct patient care experience (acute or ambulatory space) or relevant experience and MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic certification.
- Experience: One year of direct patient care experience (acute or ambulatory space) or relevant experience and MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
- EMT, Paramedic, or Medic certification preferred.
- Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
Skills
