Medical Assistant - MA - UCC Creve Coeur and UCC Winghaven
Position Summary
Performs clerical and reception duties, as well as the primary functions of a Medical Assistant (MA). MA responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms, recording vital signs and other clinical data, and assisting with procedures per physician orders. Works to facilitate processes with other departments, personnel, and insurance companies to coordinate patient care. Answers phones, schedules patient appointments, handles pre-certifications and referrals. Maintains a pleasant, efficient, and well-organized working environment.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and point of care testing
